Sahid MI Engineering was founded in the Somali Region of Ethiopia by engineers who knew the trucks of the Horn of Africa first-hand — what they're asked to carry, the surfaces they travel and the distances between fuel stops.

Assembly process
Step 01
Frames and cross-members are laid out and squared on the line.
Step 02
Structural welds join the frame, body mounts and fittings.
Step 03
The cab is lowered into place; tanks, cargo bodies or trailers are fitted.
Step 04
Axles, wheels, electrics and fittings are completed.
Step 05
Bodies are painted and finished to the order's specification.
Step 06
A final check at the quality gate before handover.
Step 07
Handed over in Jigjiga or delivered to the customer's region.

The facility
Today we operate from a facility in Jigjiga that handles heavy-truck assembly, fuel and water tanker manufacturing, trailer fabrication, full-truck updates and a stocked parts inventory.

Our facility is in Garab Ase, in front of the SRS President's Office, Jigjiga, Somali Region, Ethiopia. Visitors are welcome by appointment — call or WhatsApp us first.
